Over the past eight years, Siobhan has dedicated herself to the field of lymphoedema, eventually developing a deep passion for scar treatment after witnessing the remarkable benefits it can offer to patients, positively impacting their health and well-being. She is currently the first Oncology Scar Specialist in Ireland and has pursued post-graduate education focusing on scar treatment. Her strong interest in C-Section scars arose from recognising the lack of aftercare, support, and advice available to patients for scar management. Siobhan is profoundly grateful for the incredible opportunity to work alongside top professionals, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience along the way.
Siobhan, a Registered Lymphoedema Specialist, has had the unique chance to work at St. George’s Hospital in London, where she was involved in Professor Mortimer’s diagnostic clinic. She also had the privilege of scrubbing into theatre at the Oxford Lymphoedema Practice, where she observed Lymphovenous Anastomosis Surgery led by Professor Dominic Furnis and Dr. Sinclair Gore. This intricate procedure gave her invaluable insights into the world of surgical innovation, and witnessing their expertise and dedication firsthand left a profound impression on her.
